Terms of Service – Computer Lab

Welcome to Computer Lab. These Terms of Service govern the use of our services, website, and purchases made from Computer Lab. By using our services or purchasing products from us, you agree to the following terms.


1. Repair Services

Computer Lab provides repair services for electronic devices including phones, tablets, laptops, computers, and gaming consoles.

By submitting a device for repair, you agree that:

  • The device is your property or you have permission from the owner to authorize repair.

  • Computer Lab may inspect, diagnose, and repair the device as required.

  • Repair times may vary depending on parts availability and device condition.

Computer Lab will take reasonable care during repair, however we are not responsible for pre-existing damage or faults not related to the repair service.


2. Data Responsibility

Customers are responsible for backing up all data before submitting a device for repair.

Computer Lab is not responsible for any data loss, including contacts, photos, files, or applications during the repair process.


3. Repair Warranty

All repairs include a 3-month warranty covering faults related to the repair or replacement parts installed by Computer Lab.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Physical damage after repair

  • Water or liquid damage

  • Damage caused by misuse or accidents

  • Devices repaired or opened by another technician after our repair

The original invoice or receipt is required for all warranty claims.


4. Product Purchases

Computer Lab may sell electronic products and accessories.

  • No refunds are provided.

  • Products may only be exchanged if faulty or not working.

If a customer orders the wrong product or changes their mind:

  • The item must be unused and in original condition

  • All packaging and accessories must be included

  • Proof of purchase (invoice) is required

Customers are responsible for any shipping costs related to exchanges.


5. Pricing and Payments

All prices are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) unless otherwise stated.

Payments may be accepted through:

  • Card payments

  • EFTPOS

  • Online payments

  • Buy Now Pay Later services (where available)

Computer Lab reserves the right to change prices at any time without prior notice.


6. Uncollected Devices

Devices left uncollected for more than 30 days after repair completion notification may incur storage fees or be considered abandoned.

Computer Lab reserves the right to dispose of or recycle abandoned devices in accordance with applicable laws.


7. Limitation of Liability

Computer Lab shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of data

  • Loss of income or business interruption

  • Indirect or consequential damages resulting from device failure

Our liability is limited to the cost of the repair service provided.


8. Website Use

Users agree not to misuse the Computer Lab website or attempt unauthorized access to systems or data.


9. Changes to Terms

Computer Lab reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page.
